2010 UA Independence Day events will be held on
Saturday, July 3rd.

Independence Day Celebration

Since the mid-20's, Upper Arlington has been celebrating the Independence Day in a BIG way. The tradition begins with early morning wake up calls, followed by the parade down Northwest Boulevard then onto the Party in the Park and fireworks at Northam Park. UA's Independence Day celebration is a shining example of our outstanding community spirit. For many residents, this is why they live in UA. This year, all events will take place on Saturday, JULY 3, 2010. The Parade begins at 9:00 a.m. and the fireworks begin at dark.

Weather

For all Independence Day events, as a spectator or participant you must use your own judgment as to your safety regardless of whether or not an event is canceled. The parade will be canceled by dangerous weather such as high winds, lightening, tornadoes, etc. Rain alone will not stop the parade. The entertainment at Northam Park will be stopped for lightening, high winds or heavy rain. The fireworks will be canceled in the event of moderate rain, moderate to heavy wind, or lightening. Every effort is made to run every event. Any of the events may be delayed and started later. This is at the discretion of the UA Fire and Police Departments and the UACA 4th of July Committee. No events will be rescheduled on a later date.
