Volunteer Opportunities

Serving as an Upper Arlington Civic Association Director is a two year commitment to Upper Arlington. The organization has a long, proud history of community service. During the year, there are numerous opportunities for community members to assist in running the various events. By becoming familiar with the specific events and the "behind the scenes" effort is the best way to truly understand the commitment Directors make to the community. We always need assistance and you can also get a feel for the personalities each event has developed over the years.

Contact the event coordinator or anyone on the executive committee if you would like to volunteer for a particular event or would like to be considered as a future Director. Each November, Director nominations are presented before the entire Association for evaluation and final selections are contacted by phone in December. Nominations can be submitted through an active Director or by contacting UACA directly.

In general, the commitment for a Director is as follows:
  • Monthly meetings - 1- 2 hours each meeting
  • Attendance at all events and work sessions produced by UACA (See Events)
  • Nominations for future directors and junior directors
  • Co-produce one event each year with a second Director
