4th of July Parade
Join UACA in celebrating this year’s July Fourth celebrations. Start your day enjoying an impressive parade along Northwest Boulevard. The parade will travel down its traditional two-mile route along Northwest Boulevard, from Zollinger to North Star roads, and will last 90 minutes to two hours.

Parade Schedule
6:30 am: Wake Up Calls
9:00 am: Parade
-
The Police Division is implementing some new parade route traffic and safety adjustments, placing non-movable barricades or City vehicles at the streets intersecting Northwest Boulevard. As a result, local traffic will not be able to cross or use Northwest per the following schedule:
-
6:30-7 am – all streets between Zollinger Road and Lane Avenue will be closed at Northwest Boulevard.
-
7-7:30 am – most streets between Lane Avenue and North Star Road will be closed at Northwest Boulevard. It will still be possible to cross Northwest at Guilford, Barrington and Waltham roads until approximately 8 am.
-
Travel on Northwest Boulevard will be limited after 7:30 am.
-
Lane Avenue will remain open to traffic until approximately 8:30 am.
-
1:00 pm: All streets are expected to be reopened to traffic
Parking Restrictions
Parking restrictions will be in effect for most streets south of Lane Avenue that surround the parade route – in some instances this will be on both sides of the street, in other instances it will be on the fire hydrant side only. The affected streets will be posted in advance with “no parking” signs. No parking hours will be from 5 am-1 pm on the day of the parade. If you live in the area, please move cars into your driveway or to a nearby location where parking is permissible.
Golf Cart Restrictions
All golf carts must follow Upper Arlington City regulations.

Chairs Along the Parade Route:
In the days leading up to the Parade, the route along Northwest Boulevard becomes overrun with lawn chairs and areas taped off by families staking their spectator spot. We ask that you refrain from this practice until just a few days before the parade but recognize that once the first few chairs go out, more will follow quickly. It’s important to note that by placing your property at the curb similar to when placing trash or bulk items out for collection, you run the risk of having your property taken by opportunistic passersby. In such instances, their loss is not considered theft.
