Labor Neighbor Day
UA Residents, get ready to start your engines and play ball! Pretty soon, the leaves will be changing, and it will feel like fall. It is time to say our unofficial goodbye to summer with our annual Labor Neighbor Day event.
This year we have 4 events: Bike Races, Punt, Pass (but not kick), Pet Parade, and Wiffle Ball.
The Bike Races will kick off the morning, then Punt, Pass and Pet Parade, and the Wiffle Ball tournaments in the afternoon. Details about each event, how and when to register, and the requirements for participation are below.

BIKE RACES – Bring your bike and show us your speed!
Bike Race Rules

Hastings Track
Schedule:
Check in: 8:00-9:00 am
Race starts: 9:00 am
Age Eligibility: Open to boys and girls including adults and kids on tandems.
Age groups are: 3 and under (unisex includes tricycles, balance bikes, and training wheels) 4/5, 6/7, 8/9, 10/11, tandems)
Registration: Free to participate.
Competition Format: Each age group will race in groups of 5-7. Ages 3-7 will race 50 yards. Ages 8-13 will race 100 yards.
Scoring: The winner of each heat will receive a gold sticker and return to race in the finals immediately following all heats in that age group (example: all 7/8 racers will race and then race finals before moving on to 9/10).
Awards: Trophy will be awarded to the winner of each age group

Helmets! Riders have to bring their own. Children will not be allowed to ride without a helmet.

Punt Pass (no kick) - New for 2025
Punt Pass Rules

UACA is excited to add the Punt Pass (no Kick) event to LND. We will be running this at the Hastings Football field. See schedule and rules below.
Schedule:
Check-in: 9:30 - 10:30am
Start: 10:30 am
Age Eligibility: Open to boys and girls Grades 1-6.
Competition Format: One punt, and one pass per participant. Scores are based on distance and accuracy.
Scoring: Scores are cumulative for each event. For example, if a punt is 100 feet but lands 25 feet from center, point deductions will be made the further from center the ball lands. Each player will receive a notecard for scoring. They will turn in the notecards to be sorted for highest score.
Awards: Trophy will be awarded to the winner of each age group (highest cumulative score for punt and pass).Age groups are by grade: 1st - 6th.

Pet Parade - Bring your favorite pet

Labor Neighbor Day is for the whole family, pets too! Kids love showing off their favorite pet in the annual parade!

Participants will be entered in a drawing to win a Golden Bear Scare Fast Pass

Eligibility: Open to all pets!

All pets must always be under the control of their owners. Owners must ensure pets do not leave a mess or cause damage at the event.

Wiffle Ball Tournament
Wiffle Ball Tournament

Fields north of the Hastings Track
Back by popular demand, UACA's competitive wiffle ball tournament pits friends against neighbors with the winner getting a trophy, but more importantly, a full year's worth of bragging rights!
Schedule:
Check-in begins: 12:30 pm
First pitches: 1:30 pm
Games conclude: 6:00 pm
Age Eligibility: Open to boys and girls in Elementary and Middle School.
Competition Format: The tournament will be broken up into two groups: elementary and middle school. Each group will be broken up into two divisions with a round robin, semifinal, and final. Games will be 4-5 innings with a 25-minute time limit. Tournament balls and bats to be provided by UACA.
Awards: Trophy will be awarded to each player on the winning team for both Elementary and Middle School divisions.
