Something mysterious is stirring in Smith Nature Park...
The spirit of Old Man Smith has awakened, and strange happenings are spreading through the forest. As the sun sets, guests are invited to explore the wooded trail and discover what has come to life among the trees.
The evening begins with Spooky Hours, a family-friendly experience designed for younger guests. As darkness falls, the forest transforms for Scary Hours, where visitors can venture deeper into the legend of Old Man Smith and encounter the creatures and spirits that now roam the woods.
Whether you're looking for Halloween fun with the family or a more intense haunted experience, there's something waiting for everyone in the forest... if you're brave enough to enter.

Parking
Parking is available at Northwest Christian Church and on the streets near the park (see the parking map below for more information).
Spooky Hours: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Designed for elementary-age guests and families, Spooky Hours offer a fun Halloween experience without the scares. Guests may walk through the attraction at their own pace, enjoying the decorations, themed displays, and friendly character interactions.

Characters may wave, greet guests, and pose for photos. There are no jump scares, chasing, or other scare tactics during Spooky Hours.

Scary Hours: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Spooky Hours end promptly at 7:30 PM, and the attraction transitions to its full haunted experience, recommended for middle school-aged guests and older.

During Scary Hours, groups will be guided through the haunted forest by a UACA Scare Ranger, who will share the story of Old Man Smith and the haunting of Smith Nature Park. Guests should expect jump scares, intense character interactions, dark areas, loud noises, strobe lights, and other startling effects. Actors may approach, follow, or briefly chase guests as part of the experience.

Elementary-age children are welcome during Scary Hours at their parent's discretion and at their own risk.

Separate lines will be available for Spooky Hours and Scary Hours to help reduce wait times.

All children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult age 18 or older.

Please arrive before 8:45 PM. Lines can become lengthy, and UACA may close the line early to ensure all guests already in line can experience the attraction before closing.
